The application process for the Phi Beta Dingo internship program in Australia is as follows:
Monday, March 2, 2009 – application deadline*
please note that students are encouraged to submit their applications as soon as possible and applications can be accepted at anytime prior to Monday, March 2, 2009 for the May 31 – August 3, 2009 internship program. The earlier, the better.
After the completed application form with the AU$75.00 application fee has been received from the student, students will receive confirmation of acceptance or denial from the program via E-mail or via fax no later than Friday, March 6, 2009 so that they can begin the application for their visa. The earlier students apply, the earlier Phi Beta Dingo can accept them and the earlier students can begin their application for their visa.
Monday, March 9, 2009 – visa application deadline for accepted students
Please note that as soon as a student is accepted, they can start their visa application and the earlier the application the better, providing plenty of time for the visa to be approved and time for Phi Beta Dingo Pty. Ltd. to receive documentation of the approved visa.
Monday, March 16, 2009 (approximately time – preferably earlier)
After the student receives their visa, each student needs to fax Phi Beta Dingo copies of their valid U.S. passport (page with student photo, birth date, and passport expiration date) and copies of their valid Australian visa. (Students can also scan photocopies of the passport and visa and E-mail them to Phi Beta Dingo at: info@phibetadingo.com).
Monday, March 23, 2009 (approximately time – preferably earlier)
Upon receipt of the passport and visa, Phi Beta Dingo will confirm via E-mail to the student that the student’s documents are all in order and that they are officially confirmed for the program. With this E-mail an invoice for a non-refundable deposit of US$2,300.00 (50% of the total cost of the program) is included with payment information for payment via wire transfer to Phi Beta Dingo Pty. Ltd. (invoice to be paid within 14 days). This E-mail will also inform VS&R Travel that this student will be contacting them to arrange their international airfare and flights within Australia along the lines of the group booking.

Phi Beta Dingo invoices all participants via E-mail for the remaining US$2,300.00 (remaining 50% of the total cost of the program) with 14 day payment terms. With this E-mail, the flight arrival and departure details for each student are requested if it has not already been received. This E-mail also contains information about how to order a local mobile phone from Phi Beta Dingo for students that want a local mobile for their time in Australia.
Thursday, May 14, 2009 - Full payment deadline
Deadline for all payments to be made toward the full amount of the program costs. Students will receive an email confirming that their account is 100% paid or information about how to pay the remaining amounts owing. This E-mail will also include schedule updates and internship updates that are relevant.
Sunday, May 31, 2009 – Depart the U.S.
Tuesday, June 2, 2009 – Arrive Australia
